Collaboration with Subin Seol & Sunghoon Song.
OVERVIEW
How do you remember architecture being demolished? By reassembling construction wastes, Korean furniture designer Subin Seol presents how to remember disassembled architecture through tangible objects in our daily lives. Seol used handrails from Fawley Power Station - South Hampshire’s demolished landmark, and designed a dining chair and a coffee table. By embracing handrails’ distinctive and irregular shape, Subin’s pieces intend to retain the original building’s brutalist aesthetic, remembering and celebrating the old landmark’s heritage.
Film by Sunghoon Song.
